DEPARTMENT MAJOR EVENTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
An initiative by SVTM, Department of Civil Engineering had organized, 1st National Conference on “Recent Innovations in Civil Engineering” RICE, was held on campus, chaired by the eminent professors from reputed universities & colleges, & 350 students
Department has organized One day workshop on “STAAD PPO” resourced by Dr. B. Ajitha, Professor from JNTUA, Ananthapuramu. The workshop comprises of imparting the participating students an idea about Software, Structural Analysis & Designing of Structures with an accuracy of results.
“Engineer’s Day” is being warmly celebrated with joy & reverence every year on 15th September, by the civil engineering students & faculty members, recollecting the character & contributions, of Bharata Ratna Sir. M. Visvesvaraya a pioneer in civil engineering, to the field of Civil Engineering.
SURVEY CAMP: The department conducts “Survey Camps” every year for the Civil Engineering Students for practically exhibiting their knowledge in various surveys, such as Chain Survey, Compass Survey, Plane table Survey, Dumpy level Survey, Theodolite Survey, Total Stations, etc, in the field.

One day visit to M/S Thriveni Earthmovers Pvt. Ltd, Srikalahasti, in Andhra Pradesh at 2017. A bunch of students visited for learning the procedure of production and utilization of industrial material Manufactured Sand for research and innovative projects.
One day visit to Galiveedu project in Andhra Pradesh 2017. All the Civil Engineering Students were taken to the project, for attaining knowledge in various aspects, such as water storage capacity, electric power generation, irrigation facilities, design of sluices and gate valves, etc.
One day Visit to Rayalaseema Thermal Power Station, Kadapa, in Andhra Pradesh at 2018. Group of students visited and acquired knowledge about processing unit of the plant, & to know about the industrial waste material such as fly ash, pond ash, bottom ash, etc, which will definitely lead the students for research-oriented projects in future.
One can easily acquire the required knowledge in Civil Engineering & can successfully complete Civil Engineering Courses, within the time schedules, & can satisfactorily, peacefully, & happily settle as good Civil Engineers in the society.
