Committed to serve the society at large in the field of civil Engineering with emphasis on value-based state of the technical knowledge, inculcating applied research, innovation and entrepreneurship skills.
M1. To enhance research and consultancy resulting in solving problems related to civil engineering infrastructures as well as society at large.
M2. To inculcate moral and ethical values among the students.
M3. To impart knowledge with emphasis on the development of leadership qualities in students.
M4. To encourage students to pursue higher education and take competitive exams and various enhancing courses.
Program Education Objectives (PEO)
PEO1: Developing the students to acquire analytical solution, practical applications and creativity knowledge in the field of Civil Engineering
PEO2: To involve students on the latest techniques and technologies for sustainable planning and construction of Civil Engineering works.
PEO3: To prepare students in developing abilities in fundamental knowledge of Civil Engineering along with professional skills in collaboration with national and international requirements.
PEO4: To facilitate students in developing communication, employment, Post graduation in-line with the need of current trend and practices of Civil Engineering.
Program Outcome (PO)
Graduates of the Civil Engineering Program will be able to:
1. Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and Civil Engineering principles to the solution of complex problems in Civil Engineering
2. Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex Civil Engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics and engineering sciences.
3. Design solutions for complex Civil Engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions related to Civil Engineering problems.
5. Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools such as CAD, FEM and GIS including prediction and modelling to complex Civil Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6. Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional Civil Engineering practice.
7. Understand the impact of the professional Civil Engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
8. Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Civil Engineering practice.
9. Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
10. Communicate effectively on complex Civil Engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
11. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage Civil Engineering projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO)
On completion of the BE (Civil Engineering) degree the graduates will be able to
- Plan, analyze, design, prepare cost estimates and execute all kinds of Civil Engineering Projects.
- Apply modern construction techniques, equipment and management tools so as to complete the project within specified time and funds.
- Integrity to be professional Civil Engineers with ethical and societal responsibility.
